Director of Product Management Position Overview

Cequence Security is expanding its product management team, and we are looking for a an experienced product guru to drive strategy, product development and build an understanding of our customers’ needs and requirements. You’ll guide the build-out of all features, solution capabilities, and disseminate market and product knowledge throughout the company.


  • Lead all aspects of product strategy, product management, roadmap, design, technical partnerships and security
  • Formalize product management processes enabling Agile software development
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from customers and partners. Work with engineering leaders to prioritize and implement them
  • Interface with new and existing customers and partners and use their inputs to define and validate product strategy
  • Enable and support marketing, sales and support teams with material and presentations on product features, strategy and roadmap
  • Conduct routine competitive assessment and gap analysis to drive new product features
  • Start as an individual contributor in a leadership role and build a Product Management organization in the long term


  • Like the thrill of early stage startups, want to shape an early stage product, enjoy working in a fast paced and open environment
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for audiences that includes executives, partners, analysts and customers
  • Demonstrable positive impact on a product/solution/company’s roadmap and vision
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies – CDNs, Load Balancers, WAFs, IPSs, Anti-fraud technologies, and SIEMs
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or an engineering discipline required. Masters or MBA preferred
  • Proven ability to work with people in cross-functional teams to get things done
  • Ability to collect and process data, build reports and drive data driven decisions
